On Saturday September 29, 2018 Rafiki Jazz, who appeared at the last Heavenly Acts event in May 2017, performed as part of the University of Sheffield’s Festival of the Mind. It was followed by a TalkBack chaired by Andrey Rosowsky and Javaad Alipoor.
A new publication of the network, Heavenly Acts – aspects of performance through an interdisciplinary lens, is now in the final stages of publication. News on the publication date will follow soon.
We are pleased to announce the recent publication of a volume edited and written by members of the Heavenly Acts network. ‘Faith and Language Practices in Digital Spaces’ is published by Multilingual Matters. A review can be found here.
We are pleased to announce that the nationally acclaimed world music ensemble, Rafiki Jazz, are appearing in Sheffield on Monday May 8 as part of the Heavenly Acts IV event taking place that and the following day in the University of Sheffield.
The last Heavenly Acts symposium in our series of four takes place at the University of Sheffield on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 May 2017.
